Driving Creek Railway

Picture
An hour long ride on a unique narrow gauge railway that takes you into the hills through native forest. A must see.

Coromandel Goldfield Centre and Historic Stamper Battery

Picture
Ashley's Famous Tour of the Coromandel Gold Stamper Battery is probably the most informative and interesting hour you will spend in Coromandel. View the historic Stamper Battery, still in working order, and New Zealand's largest working water wheel.

Coromandel Museum

Picture
Return to the colourful history of kauri, gold and farming in Coromandel.

Fishing Charters

Picture
We can arrange your choice of fishing trip, from a full day boat charter, to a day surf-casting on one of Coromandel's beautiful beaches.

The Waterworks

Picture
Featuring whimsical gadgets and interactive playthings, all worked by water.

Castle Rock

Picture
Otherwise know as 'The Sleeping Giant'. Climb to the top if you can. It is worth the effort for the view!

The Kauri Grove.

Picture
Here is your chance to see the type of tree that Karamana was built from.
These trees have been here for hundreds of years and are now protected. We highly recommend this short walk.

Waiau Falls

Picture
A beautiful bush glade where the Waiau river crashes over a rock face and into the pool below.
A great place for a swim on a hot day.

Hot Water Beach

Picture
The hot water flows out of the sand. You can dig your own hot tub. The centre of the stream is too hot so you will have to find a spot on the edge to let some cool water flow in. We will provide a shovel and beach towel. You can relax in an amazing natural phenomenon.

Hiking

Picture
There are hiking trails all over the peninsula. From short walks to all day hikes - we can find the trail that will suit your energy level. See the native bush up close and personal.

Take a Drive

Picture
Drive up to Colville (30 minutes) or to the top of the peninsula (1-1/2 hours). Along the way there are beaches, hiking and fantastic views.
We can arrange a bus tour for the very popular Coromandel Coastal Walkway Tour from Fletcher Bay to Stony Bay. You will be dropped off at one end and picked up at the other.

New Chums Beach

Picture
Voted as one of the top ten deserted beaches in the world, beautiful New Chums beach is just over the hill from Coromandel Town. Accessible only by foot, it is well worth the effort.
